The Norwegian healthcare provider Dr. Dropin acquires the online dermatology company Skindoc. The transaction is the first step for Dr. Dropin to grow its business in the UK.

Dr. Dropin acquired a majority stake in SkindocUK Ltd earlier this month. The Norwegian company has democratized the private healthcare market in Norway by providing instant access to services at an affordable price, both physically and digitally.

“We are excited to work with Dr. Dropin and feel confident that we can reach our ambitious goals for growth together. Dr. Dropin has valuable expertise within sustainable and innovative solutions in the private healthcare market, making them the perfect partner for us,”

says James Denny and Sreedhar Krishna,

dermatologists and co-founders of Skindoc.

In 2017, Dr. Daniel Sørli founded Dr. Dropin with the idea of providing healthcare services to the general public at an affordable price. Today, the company offers a wide range of services in all major Norwegian cities, including general practitioners, specialists, physical therapists, dermatologists, and psychologists. They focus on availability and administer all services at fixed rates. Furthermore, the company offers its services through secure digital solutions.

“Dr. Dropin has a long-term plan of investing and expanding internationally, and the acquisition of Skindoc is a step in the right direction. Skindoc has a knowledgeable medical team and a good business model. We can contribute with valuable experience from our rapid growth in the Norwegian market and recent establishment in the Swedish market. We look forward to this expansion alongside Skindoc,”

says Daniel Sørli,

Co-CEO and Founder of Dr. Dropin.

Skindoc will continue under the same brand name.
