Adhara Limited, our portfolio company and latest investment, is one of the leading solution providers in the wholesale digital cash market and was selected among hundreds of candidates as one of the World Economic Forum’s “Technology Pioneers”. Adhara’s experience in wholesale digital cash includes the issuance of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and other forms of tokenized money leveraging standard, enterprise-grade blockchain technology and smart contracts.

The Technology Pioneers of 2021 bring together 100 early to growth-stage companies from around the world that are pioneering new technologies and innovations that are poised to have a significant impact on business and society. This year’s cohort includes representation from 26 economies on six continents with reach far beyond traditional tech hubs like Silicon Valley. Innovations range from cell-based seafood protein to quantum-based cybersecurity, digitization of water rights and building decentralized financial networks.

By joining this community, Technology Pioneers begin a two-year journey where they are part of the World Economic Forum’s initiatives, activities and events, bringing their cutting-edge insight and fresh thinking to critical global discussions. With Adhara’s selection as Technology Pioneer, CEO Julio Faura, will be invited to participate at World Economic Forum activities throughout the year. Adhara will also contribute to Forum initiatives over the next two years, working with global leaders to help address key industry and societal issues.
